Located in Kolwezi, Lualaba Province, DRC, the copper-cobalt mining project SICOMINES covers an area of 11.05 km2. With total ore reserves of 250 million tonnes, it boasts an average copper grade of 3.47% (8.68 million tonnes of copper metal) and an average cobalt grade of 0.215% (540,000 tonnes of cobalt metal), making it a world-class, large-scale mine of exceptional magnitude which has an annual production capacity of 253,500 tonnes of cathode copper and 5,180 tonnes of cobalt in the form of crude hydroxide.
